I am a former Judge of the Criminal and Civil Courts of the City and State of New York. I was appointed to the bench by Mayor Rudolf Giuliani to a ten year term in 1995, at the height of my legal career, which I served in full with honor and distinction. Through this unique experience, I was able to cultivate and develop a strong network of high-level contacts in both the public and private sectors which I am now able to draw upon in connection with my current law practice.
Previously, I was a partner in a well-recognized midtown law firm, specializing in the areas of white-collar criminal defense and commercial litigation. My practice concentrated largely in representing clients in various regulatory and governmental investigations as well as in complex civil litigations involving contract disputes, insurance coverage issues, employment discrimination, labor disputes, licensing agreements, real estate transactions and property management.
Immediately following my judicial tenure, beginning in January 2006, I became special counsel to a prominent real estate development company, where I represented them in connection with a variety of their on-going and prospective project pursuits. Thereafter, beginning in 2008, I established a consulting/of-counsel relationship with several small to mid-sized litigation firms, through which I have developed a substantial clientele in the construction and rigging industries, as well in real estate related litigation. I received my J.D. from Boston University School of Law and I am admitted in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
